About the Short-term Japanese Program

The short-term Japanese Course is ideal for residents in Japan, working professionals, or anyone unable to commit to long-term enrollment. This upper-intermediate course compresses an intensive curriculum into a shorter period, equipping you with the skills to discuss a wide range of topics naturally, from daily conversation to business, current affairs, and specialized subjects. Enrollment is open regardless of visa status.

Advanced Business Japanese I

Designed for Japanese learners with little experience studying Business Japanese

As a middle step toward the advanced level, students develop the ability to understand abstract and complex content. The goal is to discuss a wide range of topics beyond daily conversation, express opinions appropriately, and use honorifics and professional manners with confidence in business settings.

Advanced Business Japanese II

Designed for Japanese learners with experience studying Business Japanese

This course serves as the final preparation for your career in Japan. Building on the first course, students acquire more sophisticated Japanese skills. They learn to understand complex texts, organize and express opinions clearly, handle practical business tasks such as negotiations and requests, and discuss business and current affairs topics.

Are short-term programs available?

Short-term courses are available, but only the 1-year program includes student visa support.

Are beginner classes available?

Applicants must already have basic Japanese (around JLPT N5). Absolute beginners are encouraged to start with online courses before applying.

What textbooks are used?

Courses use established textbooks such as Genki, Dekiru Nihongo, Kanji Tamago, business Japanese materials, newspapers, and original materials.

How many students are in each class?

Classes typically have 10–16 students.

What is the average timeline for JLPT levels?

  • N5: 3–6 months
  • N4: 6–12 months
  • N3: 1.5–2 years
  • N2: Around 2 years

Is the 150-hour Japanese study requirement mandatory?

Yes. This is an immigration requirement. Self-study is acceptable if clearly documented.

Can I change my course length after enrolling?

In specific cases, students may apply to extend their studies from the 1-year Practical Japanese course to the Advanced course, subject to attendance, grades, availability, and internal review.

Is job-hunting support provided?

Formal job placement is not provided, but career guidance sessions, individual advice, and introductions to job boards and agents are offered during enrollment.
